Bote de Santa Catarina

The Bote de Santa Catarina design derived from the Baleeira,  which became too costly for traditional fishermen to build in the south of Brazil, mainly in the state of Santa Catarina.

The Bote de Santa Catarina has a double ended design with flat and square lines due to the construction with planks, a high free board and a good cargo capacity to allow fishing in high seas. Usually used with a an engine.
