Pintado (Pseudoplatystoma corruscans), also known as Surubim, Loango, Moleque, Jaraíva among others, is a fish of the order Siluriformes, occurring only in South America. One of the largest fish of Brazil, typically reaches 1 m long, weighing between 6 kg and 8 kg. But there are records of more than 2m copies weighing 100kg. It is a nocturnal fish and piscivorous and are usually found in deep parts of rivers. It feeds on small fish.
