Sucupira (Bowdichia Nitida) or Sapupira-parda, Sucupira-amarela, Sucupira-da-mata, Sucupira-pele-de-sapo, Sucupira-do-igapó, Sucupira-preta, Sucupira-vermelha, Cutiúba, Macanaíba.

Found in the Amazon Forest. A tree about 45 meters high and 60 cm diameter. Moderately difficult to work, very hard. High capacity holding  of screws and accepts varnish or polish satisfactorily provided it is sealed. Some applications are in flooring, civil constructions, window and door frames, beams, crosspieces, small boats.
