Periquitão-Maracanã (Aratinga leucophthalma) is a parrot native to South America. It’s a bird almost entirely green with red spots in the neck. Measures, on average, between 30 and 32 cm. Occurs in Brazil, being found in forests and even cities. The Periquitão-Maracanã feeds mainly on fruits and seeds but can also feed on insects and berries.They live in large flocks, composed of 30 to 40 birds or more and sleep collectively in various places.
