Sibipiruna

Sibipiruna (Caesalpinia peltophoroides) confused with Pau-Brasil and Pau-ferro. Also, know as Coração-de-negro as its seed looks like a heart.

Native to the Atlantic Forest, the Sibipiruna reaches height from 08 to 16 feet, with trunk 30 to 40 cm in diameter.

The Sibipiruna has yellow flowers. Due to the great beauty, size and rapid development are a tree widely used in the urban landscape. It adapts well to the sub-tropical climate and tropical in full sun.

Its wood is heavy, hard, medium endurance, used in the construction and production of furniture and boxes.
