Pitú

Pitú (Macrobrachium carcinus) is a freshwater shrimp along the Brazilian coats in rivers flowing into the Atlantic Ocean. Pitús live in holes and night life feeding from remains of animals and plants. They can also eat living organisms such as algae, insect larvae and snails and other crustaceans. Adults have body with black and yellow longitudinal bands. They can reach up to 27 cm in length.
