jacare papo amareloThe Jacaré-de-papo-amarelo – Broad-snouted caiman (Caiman latirostris) is known by this name because of yellowish areas in its body. It is  found in Southeastern Brazil in Pantanal and other biomes.It is found mostly in freshwater marshes, swamps and mangroves. It is a carnivorous animal that lives about fifty years.It measures on average between 1.5 m and 3.5 m. They are characterized by having a strong bite and can break the shell of a turtle with ease. These animals tend to feed on crustaceans and small mammals.
